Patan Durbar Square’s main attractions are the old Palace area with a courtyard and tall terracotta building, impressive intricate window carvings, and the huge stone Krishna Temple in front pillar of Garuda a vehicle of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna, Bhimsen Temple, and the Golden Temple of Hiranya, Kumbheshwor, Jagat Narayan Temple, Ashoka Stupas, Rudra Varna Mahavihar etc. This medieval city at one the capital of Nepal during the regime of the Malla period around the 12th to 15th century.

Bhaktapur sightseeing Tour:

Bhaktapur Durbar Square lies in the eastern part of Kathmandu city, which takes about 14/15 km. Bhaktapur is a conglomeration of pagoda and Shikhara-style temples grouped around a fifty-five-window palace of brick and wood. The square is one of the most charming architectural showpieces of the valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal. The golden effigies of kings perched on the top of stone monoliths, the guardian deities looking out from their sanctuaries, and the wood carvings in every place- struts, lintels, uprights, tympanums, gateways, and windows – all seem to form a well-orchestrated symphony. The other attractions in Bhaktapur Durbar Square are the Lion Gate, the Golden Gate, the Palace of Fifty-five Windows, the five-story pagoda-styled Nyatapola temple, the temple of Dattatreya, and pottery making place. Besides these, the Changu Narayan Temple is a World Heritage Site located at the top of a small hill to the north of Bhaktapur city.
