Champa Devi Day Hiking Tour visits the hill point to the southwest of Kathmandu is a pilgrimage site situated at an elevation of 2285m having a Buddhist Stupa and a Hindu shrine. Drive from Kathmandu about an hour to Pharping which is 16 kilometers south of Kathmandu and lies on the way to Dakshinkali Temple. As you start to hike the trail heads north along the pine forested ridge for about half an hour, then the trail makes roundbound towards the south and takes another 3-hour’s walk to reach Champadevi. The views of the central and western Himalayan ranges are magnificent. After enjoying the magnificent views, back to following the same path to Pharping for about 2 hours and drive back to Kathmandu.

After Breakfast, Our Guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and then drive for around an hour to reach Pharping by private vehicle. You will start to hike gradually uphill and pass through a thick pine forest. Climbing on stone steps that wind upright to the top of the Hill takes you approximately 5 to 6 hours. A main attraction of this hiking is enjoying excellent views of traditional villages and parts of Kathmandu Valley. The shrine of goddess Champa Devi marks the summit of the Hill. When you reach the top you can see the whole Kathmandu valley stretching below. If you take this hike during late autumn and winter, you will be rewarded with awe-inspiring views of Himalayan peaks. Then back down to parping, catch up our vehicle, and drive back to your Hotel in Kathmandu.
