Panch Pokhari trekking situated eastern part of Nepal is one of the exotic and ecological trekking routes in the Rolwaling region. It is said to be one of the new and unspoiled trekking destinations in Nepal. This is named after 5 holy ponds (lake), panch pokhari(4100m.) is a famous pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. The route offers a beautiful Himalayan view and new areas and routes with a pristine nature with distinct culture. A panoramic view of Mt. Jugal, Rolwaling range, Dojre lakpa, Langtang range, and other scenic sites can be seen from Panch Pokhari which will make an outstanding pleasure trip.
This region is mainly inhabited by ethnic Sherpa and Tamang people but in some places, other ethnic such as Newars, chhatris, Brahmains, and Gurungs, lively interaction with the locals on the way, roundabout in alpine pastures, exploration of attractive traditional monasteries. The good hospitality of the local people could make your trek quite interesting and memorable.
The Panch Pokhari Trek starts from Chautara, which is the district headquarters of Sindhupalchowk district. it is easily accessible about 6 hour’s drive from Kathmandu Valley. Panch Pokhari Trek is designed for those trekkers who wish to enjoy their time on pilgrimage as well as in the natural beauty of different places.
