Ghale Gaun is situated at an altitude of 2070m from sea level and is only 205km northwest of Kathmandu and 125km northeast of Pokhara the majority of inhabitants are Gurungs or Ghale. This village is known as a popular destination for homestay in Nepal as well as South Asia. Ghale Gaun homestay route as a part of the trek offers magnificent views of the breathtaking peaks of Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Himalchuli, Bouddha Himal, Mt, Manaslu, Annapurna South, Fishtail Mountain, Lamjung Himal. Ghale Gaun offers a real opportunity to become a part of local traditional culture, welcoming you with warm greetings as a local hospitality. Ethnic food, traditional handicrafts, Gurung Museum, Gurung culture, and Gurung cultural dances like the Ghantu, Jhyaure, Ghyabring, Serka, Dohori, Krishna Charitra, and Jhakri Dance are performed on special occasions and tourists also love these dances.
