Trip Overview
Ganesh Himal is situated in central Nepal, northwest of Kathmandu named after the elephantheaded God of Good Fortune. The Ganesh Range Peaks include Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, and Ganesh IV. This great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Budi Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east, which becomes Trishuli Khola in the lower section. You can enjoy a mixed lifestyle of many interesting ethnic groups offering you a glimpse of real Nepali life and Nepalese cultural tradition. Gorkha is situated on a hill overlooking the snowy peaks of the Himalayas is a beautiful old place presenting you with more than 35 mountains over 6000m. (19’680ft) above sea level. Inside the place zone, there are two attractive temples Gorakhanath and Kali. Besides this the area also offers you, an excellent habitat for a wide variety of plants and animals; 526 species of plants (including 40 species of orchids), and 300 species of birds. Some of the Flora found in this region are berberis, primula, orchids, and a variety of Ferns, yellow blossoms of double Jasmine, Spanish oak, blue pine, and in springtime blossoming of the rhododendron. Other interesting wild animals are the Himalayan tahr, gaur, many kinds of monkeys, and musk deer. The trekking route passes through quiet Tamang villages, hot spas, gorges and glaciers, and outstanding sceneries. There are fascinating panoramic views of destination points i.e. Singala Pass, Dharka, Jasail Kunda, Jyamrung, Kasigaun, and Khanchok. Further, you can visit zinc mines at Somdang.

Drive Kathmandu to Betrawati Bazaar via Trishuli Bazar - 5/6 hours and overnight at tented camp
Gonga to Rupchet (3635m.) -4 hours, this is the base camp of Shing La and overnight at tented camp
Rupchet to Shing La Top (4100m.) then Kharka 2500m.) - 7 hours and overnight at a tented camp
somdang to Gatlang -5 hours Explore around the Village/ Hot spring and overnight at tented Camp
