Trip Overview
The newly developed Chitwan Chepang Hill trail is unique because one of the most ethnic Chepang Cultures of Nepal. Chepang people speak their distinct Language leading a nomadic life their primary lifestyle, is hunting, foraging for wild roots fishing, and traditional farming near the Jungle.
Trekking the Chitwan Chepang Hill trail takes you through one of the charming villages of Nepal’s hills and also allows you to experience first-hand the Chepang culture prevalent in this region. Chitwan lies southwest of Kathmandu, near the Indian border on the topical Terai. This Chepang Village lies at a moderate altitude and in a comfortable climate zone. The Chepang hill climbs uphill from Hugdi Khola through Laitak Chautara and Khor Bhanyang, a campsite among terraced fields. Siraichuli (1950m) is the highest hill of the Mahabharat range and offers magnificent Sunrise and sunset views with the Himalayan Panorama including Rolwaling, Gaurishanker, Langtang range, Gorkha Himal, Himchuli, Manaslu, Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri, and Chitwan National Park.
Chepang Hill trek in Nepal offers an exceptional combination of culture and sightseeing experience. You can stay in the many beautiful places, Jungle life with panoramic views of superb mountain ranges, flatlands, and green forests along with an approaching on a mixed culture of different ethnic groups such as Tharus, Magars, Kumal, Gurung, etc inhabiting this area through the homestay
