Trip Overview

The Nar Phu Valley (5416m.) is one of the Remote trekking Regions situated North of the Annapurna Circuit, beckoning the most dedicated high-altitude trekkers.  A special permit from the government is required to do this trek as the Nar and Phu villages have been recognized so recently Nowadays, Nar Phu the population of about 300 inhabitants depends on livestock, unlike most Bhotia people, whose trading patterns changed drastically after the Nepali Government closed borders with Tibet, the people of Nar and Phu valley were least affected by this change. The tortuous path leading from the valley into Tibet had never made them dependent on the salt trade, and till today yak herding is the basis of their livelihood.

The hike goes through a challenging pace, traversing the region’s high peaks and passes, forest cover, and alpine pastures, experience mountain life through encounters with the people of its villages that seem unchanged by time, and camp in lofty alpine settlements at night. We’ll take the added challenge of ascending Kang La (5,300m.) and Thorong La (5,416m.) passes, where panoramic views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho peaks will reward us.  Which is normal to hard trekking with different passes? It lies in also Annapurna region but it has a different way of Trekking. But it’s very exciting and challenging Trekking. The Annapurna conservation area has been claimed as one of the best trekking areas in the world. It is also the most visited trekking area in the country.
